We are the Truckee Meadows NV#3 chapter of the Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. . . just one of over 200 chapters across the nation.
We organized and received our charter in June, 2008 and have grown from five moms to a group of over 40 members and associates. We have made it our mission to bring the comforts of home to soldiers fighting overseas. While our emphasis is the troops associated with our own sons and daughters, both deployed and stateside, our hearts and efforts go out to any and all service personnel and families of our area.
We work closely with local businesses, area schools, churches, families and veterans’ organizations to raise funds and grow awareness and support for our active military. We all want our sons and daughters to come home and these wars to end . . . however, in the meantime, we will do all we can to support them and be here for them. If you have any questions or concerns please contact one of us.
